Environmental question?

Discuss why sulfur emissions from coal-fired power plants are considered an environmental problem and describe one negative effect on an ecosystem that has been associated with sulfur emissions.Environmental question?Sulfur when burned produces SO3, which combines with water vapour in the air and produces the acid H2SO4. This rains out and causes the phenomenon of acid rain, which causes trees to defoliate. Whole forests in mid and northern Europe have been destroyed by acid rain.
