I live in Portsmouth and have been experiencing an ongoing problem for nearly six months, with human waste leaking from an incorrectly installed macerator. It has sprayed myself, an electrician and a hoist engineer. It is a health risk in my home.
When I asked for environmental health, My partner and myself were told by the councils city helpdesk, that because I am a council tenant environmental health cannot investigate this. This seems unfair and corrupt.I am a council tenant and my council have denied me access to environmental health, I insisted. is this OK?you have a very unique situation, in any other setting that would be grounds for a lawsuit
But because of your position it doers create a legally murky area
I can't give you a definite answer but im pretty sure they are just being lazy and using that as an excuse. Any decent lawyer could find a way to have this situation resolved without cost (besides their legal fees) to you.I am a council tenant and my council have denied me access to environmental health, I insisted. is this OK?Its not a workplace
