Why are some people so against having children and teenagers on yahoo answers?

I know that some questions may be inappropriate for younger eyes, but couldn't they just sensor certain sections for particular ages?



I'm 16 going on 17 (in two sleeps actually!)



I think people should lighten up a bit. We have as much right to be on here as they do, so they should grow up(not literally) and stop discriminating against our ages. Sure theres some immature people on here with stupid questions and stupid answers, but don't assume that their all underaged.



I know you were all younger once, so give us a break. We're your future, so look after us and treat us with love.

We're the once that will be providing you with retirement villages when you need them, and having to fix the environmental problems you all kindly left us.

There are links to porn sites. There are threats to children. There are questions about killing minorities. There's profanity and vile, disgusting questions. And there's a lot of people here who have been harassed by other participants here and through email and IM. There are just too many crazy lunatics here for it to be safe for kids.



We know you are our future. I read some of the responses that the adults have given you. I'm 17 as you already know, ma'am. Happy birthday by the way for the second time. Lol. For everyone to know, us teenagers aren't all spoiled and have everything handed to us. Yes, a majority of us are, and a majority of us act like total goofballs. Me and the other minority of teenagers had to work our butts off when we were young just to survive. I lived pretty far back in the country where those who didn't help provide didn't recieve. I know the value of hard work, long hours in the field. In the freezing snow cutting firewood because we ran out. In the middle of a lightning storm checking the crops. Yes, very few of us are fit to be called young adults. But, treat those who aren't mature like they don't belong in this fourum. Let those who have a brain and attitude for this kind of actions to it. It's rare to find a teen ager who can come up to a logical question and provide a logical answer. Please, let those of us who do that to it. Start cracking down on those who don't do that by leaving their question un opened. I just ask you adults who have spent your childhood in a more demandable position to let us with a good head on our shoulders and a decent out look continue to grow in our ways so that we may become suitable leaders for those who come after us. Let us leave a legacy of what life should be like when we depart from this world. Let our names and existance be forgotten when that time comes, but let our words and achievements stay behind to be remembered.Why are some people so against having children and teenagers on yahoo answers?The thing about the teenagers on this site is the type of questions they ask in the first place. The majority of them are questions that should not even be being asked in the first place. The other majority of the questions are questions teenagers should be able to ask their parents about. The remaining questions asked are for homework help. Homework should be done by the person asking not the person giving the answer.



It is the ones on this site that do as you say and ask immature questions, questions about sexual experiences, questions about being pregnant, questions that make no sense at all.



You, my dear have an attitude problem. You need to readjust your way of thinking about your elders.



I will be around to see what kind of decision's your generation make in the future and I do not think they will be any better than what has been done in the past. Yours is a greedy generation where everything has been handed to you.

there are some rough stuff on the net, i know...i've lost friends to online predators, and such



i know all about hacking, viruses, predators...i'm studying to be a cop in cyber crime



places like this arent safe for kids.

some people put entrapment links on sites like this that send viruses to the computer, or start monitoring the computer or even steal private information to stalk...and so on...



but this IS a good place for kids to go for help on homework and such
