It's clear that any Human who thinks that their kind deserves to live on this planet just as much as other creatures do also thinks that there can never be too many Humans whenever they do not mention the fact that overpopulation is an environmental problem. Why do all Human-lovers think that overpopulation can never be a problem? Most humans aren't even thinking about family planning/reproduction issues. It's simple. People fv%26lt;k, then deal with the consequences. That's the story most of the time. It starts with an urge.....Why do all Human-lovers think that overpopulation can never be a problem?
Problem: resources being used faster than we can restore them.
Solution:
decrease the population
Stop using so many resources so quickly
People who believe overpopulation isn't a problem believe they can change 6 billion peoples minds. And make them want to live like cavemen. Our population will double by 2050... Others argue that we have plenty of space and homes. You can't build cities everywhere we need to give the land back to nature. Why do all Human-lovers think that overpopulation can never be a problem?I love those arguments. They're funny.
I was on Xanga once and some girls were talking about how overpopulation isn't a problem. Guess what the topic was on? ABORTION and ADOPTION! Right now with our population we can feed everyone more than enough food, but the problem here is the distribution of foods and goods, and poverty stricken people in low income countries can't access the foods and rely on donations from richer countries. ( And of course famines and wars don't help either ). That was their argument, but their argument is in the now and not in the future.
By the end of this year we will be at 7B people. In 20 years we could be up to 9B people. People, back in the day, even were worried about population control even in the 1700/1800's. The earth is supposed to only hold ( in THEORY ) 13-15B people maximum, and any over that will lead to more food issues, environmental issues and political issues.
If we can't feed everyone NOW, then we sure as hell can't feed everyone at 10B people. And with all that people comes more people into poverty who are going to want to get into the middle class. More competition for the world's resources, money and jobs. There is only SO much money, and the truth is only so many jobs. Good jobs, anyway.
It doesn't sound like a pleasant situation to me.
Not to say people should not reproduce. They should. I like China's "One Child" policy. It has really kept China's population in tact.
1-2 kids is fine, but hopefully for all the people who have 5-6 children, there are those who do not have children at all.Why do all Human-lovers think that overpopulation can never be a problem?
Overpopulation is only an ethical problem. If worst comes to worst we'll have a lot of dead children and old people on our hands - hopefully we'll actually try to do something before then i.e. decrease the ridiculous over consumption habits in the west. But yeah the lesson will be learnt, or taught. Why do all Human-lovers think that overpopulation can never be a problem?Only one thing is keeping us from building an elevator building into the heavens is "Stronger, Lighter Tethers" http://www.spaceelevator.com/2011/02/cal鈥?/a>
This building can be as tall as we want, could house millions of people, and become a city going up instead of out.
That would leave more room for growing food, but of course the elevator building would be so big you could grow local produce inside.
But the point is, we can provide properly for everyone no matter how many people there are. Why would anyone be so critical and skeptical of humanity to think we can't solve our problems? Why do all Human-lovers think that overpopulation can never be a problem?
They may think that they can balance the overpopulation ,By playing the game called,
"Survival for the FITTEST''.Why do all Human-lovers think that overpopulation can never be a problem?
There's enough room and resources on this planet for everyone - we're just not very smart about distribution or maximising our living environment.
you should watch the movie rampage its about this topic and is pretty amazing
