the negative effect of makeup would be if not taken off properly it goes inside your pores causing them to open making them vulnerable to dirt and just ugly skin and acne..

It can if you don't remove it by the end of the day. I think it's better to not wear makeup the days you don't have to. I wear very little makeup when I go out, and no makeup at all when I can stay at home or on lazy days.
