My neighbours were moved out around 12 months ago by the environmental health due to damp problems. The landlord was told by eh to fix it and our house but he has just put it up for sale. Now I have loads of bad damp also I am sure his gutters are leaking ang flashing is broke on his extension roof all adding to the damp. I don't know what country you are in but, in the USA, it is against the law to sell a house that has black mold.
File a lein against your neighbor's property for expense to repair your home and get rid of the moisture problem. That will prevent him from selling his house until he has taken care of his obligation to you. if he (the owner) was sited by Eh check back to see if they have any file or what it was why they moved. the city/county may have him take care of the problem. check with the agent to see if he list the problem as he must disclose any problem withthe property. remember if you buy it you own the problem
