What are some Environmental Impacts of Science and Technology?

Major power production technologies (e.g. coal plants) and major transportation technologies (e.g. automobiles) cause considerable pollution and greenhouse gas emissions that are threatening the environment for generations to come. Given the history of scientific and technological development, will we need a social fix, a technological fix, or a combination of both to deal with these problems?

This is for a university paper, and i need to find sources that could help me with this topic.

any help would be appreciated.

Thank youWhat are some Environmental Impacts of Science and Technology? At the university level, you should be well qualified to find your own sources. Look first for overview articles written for a general but educated audience. It's such an important area, it would be stupid to ignore either technological or societal channels. One very effective path is for humans to figure out that their bodies really don't need 70F +/- 2 degrees in the air around them. That one thing would fix our most flagrant energy waste. What are some Environmental Impacts of Science and Technology?Plastic waste...

Industrial waste...

Mining waste...

Human waste...
