What master degrees are a good option to find work in environmental issues or social work?

I'm applying for some scholarships at the moment, and some of the ones that look promising are: Renewable energy and Corporate Responsibility, International Relations, Social project development and social inclusion, and even one on Gerontology, which although distant from the previous ones, looks interesting from the nature of the work.

I have a BA in Business Management, but it never really was my thing (family pressure). After graduating I worked in a couple of companies for a short time in accounting and foreign trade, didn't like it, then I taught english for a long time, and finally spent about a year living off music and language teaching.

Id like to get back to using my brain but I want to apply it to something that is rewarding, not just money. If I can make enough to keep my humble living is good, but I don't wanna just be working 9 to 5 for 30 - 40 years and then die.

I've been reading a lot about environmental problems, resource exploitation, nature degradation, traffic of endangered species, all types of social problems, blah blah blah and I wonder if actually studying a master degree is going to make a difference in helping me work in one of those areas, you know education now days honestly seems to be a big fake market.

I have friends doing their Masters in foreign countries, and they tell me what a joke the level of education they are getting is, but at the end of the day they get a nice cardboard with their name on it.

Anyone care to share their working experience and help me out a bit?

Thanks

However, knowing your past, you got more talent in speaking, not enviromental issues. Maybe something closer related to the politics, and through that to make inpact on the issue. But again, i might not agree to your statement of having masters degree outside of your country being laughable. I myself bride on having masters degree on data %26amp; information tradenome. Because our school was 3rd best in the EU. Yes, some degrees are devalued in other countries as theyr standards are sub level, but getting 1 from prestidge schools might surpass the others, as all the studies are marked in cards. with prestidge study, you can shadow litterally all other applicants.

Social studies is what i suggest to you, theres more harmfull information than there are actual studies on the matter, if you could help root out the bad intell, then you might actually do some good in the matter.
