is. 1 billion people are going hungry. there are over 1 billion people who are living in poverty.
Women should be given their rights: the right to proper education and employment. They should be able to decide whther or not to have children. Abortion should be legaized worldwide (If the woman has health problems or her child or she is in danger, it is her decision to terminate her pregnancy. Those pro-life, anti-abortion individuals are full of hypocrites because they know nothing about prenatal care, parenting etc). They should also be allowed to use birth
control no matter where in the world they are. Women should decide on how to live their own lives (without the government or far right groups dictating their lives).
As an open minded man, I think that it is about time for women worldwide to have their voices heard. A lot of women have potential and talent but why is it falling on deaf ears. Women are human beings like everyone else (Like men, they should think for themselves, stand up for themselves and stand out from the crowds). Everyone is equal regardless of who they are and should be protected under international laws regardless of their age, gender, color, sexual orientation, mental or physical disability, religion, income or property, ethnic origin, height or weight.
The governments and religion have no right in a person's private life. All people should be given equal rights (not some) regardless of who they are.
There should be other things that should be legalized worldwide:
(1)Same sex marriage, adoption, divorce, etc. LGBT people have rights like everyone else and shouldn't be subjected to unspeakable disrcimination. If straight couples can have rights, then so should LGBT people.
(2)Prostitution should be decriminalized worldwide.
(1)Brothels shuld be olbliged to hand out condoms to their prostititues to prevent the spread of sexually transmitted diseases and the sex trade workers should be required to get medical examinations from their doctors.
(2)The only way to legalise prostitution is by getting the workers off the street. The only way to control and regulate it is by confing the Johns (customers) and the prostitutes to the brothels.
(3) Johns (of all walks of life) should be held criminally responsible if they harm or kill a prostitute. Their personal information should be given to law enforcement by brothels so that they know where to look for the cowards.
Euthanasia should be legalized worldwide. If a person is suffering from an incurable, terminal or mental illness and is unable to get treatment, then the patient should be given every right to die with dignity. Nobody has the right to suffer.
Public breastfeeding should be legalized worldwide. It is a woman's choice to feed her infant without criticism from onlookers.
those are human rights that needs to be looked at. Everyone is equal regardless of who they are and should be treated equally.What should be done to deal with overpopulation and other human rights problems in the world?Improving people's economic conditions is the best way to deal with environmental problems. Wealthier socieites have more leisure to devote to preserving the environment, rather than just stay alive. there is less pollution in wealthier countries. and the cause of poverty is not overpopulation, plenty of very prosperous countries have denser populations than many of the poorest countries.
Women do have the same educational opportunities and employment opportunties as men in western countries. In couuntries where they do not, it's for the people themselves to change things, it can't be imposed from outside. also, there are a great many countries where most men don't get an education either.
I don't agree with same-sex marriage, I think it is simply silly. Marriage should remain between one man and one woman.
I do not approve of abortion. I think it should be made harder to obtain, not easier. and who are you to say that people who are against the murder of unborn children know nothing about parenting? I have three sons, so I know all about it, thank you very much.
I am in favour of decriminalising prostitution.
I am in favour of women being able to breastfeed their babies in public. As far as I am aware, in most places, they can.
there is nothing remotely dignified about a human being who is put to sleep like a dog. The late John Mortimer, who was a liberal on most issues, was opposed to euthenasia because he said it would lead to people being killed by relatives anxious to inherit.
However, none of these things can be imposed on everyone worldwide. They are things for individual nations to decide. Nobody has the power, or the right, to impose standardised laws on all countries.What should be done to deal with overpopulation and other human rights problems in the world?
For the Blue Eyed Christian, some of your answer is okay except the one about abortion. Do you think a woman is going to want to bring a child into the world if she knows she won't be able to take care of it, it will have critical health problems throughout it's life or if she was raped? Think!

What should be done to deal with overpopulation and other human rights problems in the world?it's a terrible shame that no one has bothered to answer your question. it makes so much sense with real solutions to problems. but men don't want women to have rights. religion does not want women to have rights. men want human rights and the right to oppress women.What should be done to deal with overpopulation and other human rights problems in the world?I agree with public breatfeeding. It gives you something to stare at while you having a coffee.What should be done to deal with overpopulation and other human rights problems in the world?Sure health problems is a possibility
1. There's no "over-population"
2. These environmental problems need not necessarily stem from the population.
3. These economic problems may be aggravated by snowballing of the population, but as I said in the beginning, there isn't really any "over-population".What should be done to deal with overpopulation and other human rights problems in the world?
Boy, where do I start? I disagree with your entire premise, for one thing.
%26gt;It has caused a lot of environmental problems (deforestation, water pollution, air pollution, land pollution, etc),%26lt;
No, those things are not the result of overpopulation. Pollution started becoming more common when the industrial revolution began. It's a by-product of industry and a result of manufacturers etc. being less than careful with their waste management. It's cheaper to dump waste into a river than deal with it properly - if they took the time and effort to properly manage waste disposal, we'd see far less pollution.
%26gt;social problams (poverty, homelessness, crime etc).%26lt;
Those things have existed for thousands of years. Don't you know your history? They aren't because of overpopulation.
Like I said, I disagree with your premise. But then, I don't believe that overpopulation is a global problem. There are *regions* that are definitely overpopulated, but others (like most of the world) that are not.
Oh, and this:
%26gt;(If the woman has health problems or her child or she is in danger, it is her decision to terminate her pregnancy. Those pro-life, anti-abortion individuals are full of hypocrites because they know nothing about prenatal care, parenting etc)%26lt;
Give me a break. I, for one, am not full of hypocrites. And you sound very ignorant when you say that all of us who are pro-life don't know anything about prenatal care or parenting. I have had 3 pregnancies, during which I spend a lot of time doing research about things like embryology/fetal development, and also, coincidentally, going to prenatal appointments and receiving prenatal care. Oh yes, and I have two children, whom I stay home with and PARENT. You know not what you say, sir. You've grossly overgeneralized - usually when folks do that, they end up being mostly wrong. And it sounds to me like you aren't thinking at all about the baby, but only about the woman. There are 2 people involved in the pregnancy - the woman, and her *baby*. Both deserve to live.
For the rest, legalizing prostitution isn't going to do a thing to improve societies or reduce overpopulation. And euthanasia is despicable. Those who are euthanised are often put down like a sick pet without their consent. It isn't "dying with dignity", it's being killed. Perhaps what you are thinking about is assisted suicide? But I think that's a crap solution to people who are unable to get medical treatment - a better solution would be to provide them with healthcare. Not kill them.
%26gt;Everyone is equal regardless of who they are and should be treated equally.%26lt;
Except those who are sick. They get euthanized.
Your entire post....yikes, sir. Yikes.
According to Nobel Prize winning economist Gary Becker, we currently have falling birth rates all over the globe. The "problem" of overpopulation actually doesn't cause all the problems people thought it would. Supply has far outstripped demand of food as technology improves a hundredfold. People starve, not due to a lack of food, but due to a lack of distribution and political problems. Space is also not an issue. We also could fit every living human into Texas, with 2000 square feet for every person.

Basically every demographer and economist these days has long since given up the overpopulation myth of the 70's.
"Women are human beings like everyone else"
--- Even mothers?What should be done to deal with overpopulation and other human rights problems in the world?
I'm not sure what the question is..
But the statement sounds great, I agree with 99% of it.
I'd add a few things.
Child labor laws...all around the world including strict consequences for the countries that allow and use child soldiers.
General worker safety or "OSHA" standards around the world.
Get rid of all Sharia Laws...but I suppose that would be covered by the gov/religion part.
Consequences for governments who do not give the federal aid that is sent by the US and other countries to help the people.
Better infrastructures...we have the food to feed everyone..just no way to get it to them before it goes bad.
Wow...Yo folks look it up Overpopulation is the #1 issue humans face right now..it's not war it's not global warming it's not recessions. It's to many people.
