I am not referring to the spiritual green movement, nor the marketing and political trends. I'm talking about the problems that are currently taking place on a large scale, or in many multiple places, which effect many people. Problems which have a negative impact on the environment, and in turn, the people who live there. Thanks.Could anyone inform me on the real environmental issues? One very real environmental issue is energy wastage. Most of the energy currently being produced in the US is through coal plants. These are located in remote parts of the country. Must of the energy is wasted even before it reaches consumers. To add to this is poor infrastructure like transformers.
Energy efficient appliances and transformers will ensure that the current energy being generated is well used. Alternate energy like solar and wind will help us meet our future energy needs. Learn all about energy generation etc, one place with lots of info is Pacific Crest Transformers.Could anyone inform me on the real environmental issues?plastic bags global warming garbage in the ocean the list goes on...Could anyone inform me on the real environmental issues? There are two real environmental issues affecting the world today.
The first is population growth. Advances in technology have given us improved food production and better health care and this has resulted in a staggering population growth. For two thousand years the earth has had a population of between 250 to 500 million people with more than enough room for all the other animals and plants that keep our ecological system in balance. In the past hundred years the population has grown to 7,000 million and growing at a rate of more than 200,000 every day. There just isn't enough room any more to keep a natural balance and we are increasingly reliant on technology and invention to keep us going.
The second issue is also a result of technological advance. Since the invention of the combustion engine, refrigeration, power stations, cars, airplanes and a whole raft of consumer goods, those of us who have the wealth to do so have increased the amount of energy we consume, the goods we purchase, and the pollution we cause by dozens of times more than our grandfathers and great grandfathers.
These are the two real issues - the debate is going to be what can be done about population growth, materialism, and technology dependence, given a world dependent upon political independence for its stability.
