they had a huge dispute with the rubber planters union in the 1980's and Chico Mendez, the Indigenous Union leader and community activist died in a shooting incident....that many said at the time was a hit!!What multinational corporations are greenwashing and creating deforestation other than the IMF or World Bank?Funny how there's only one answer to this question... The IMF and World Bank aren't corporations. I understand your question and I agree, the Greenwash" is on... that's good, did you make it up ?
There's a strong Push across the spectrum of industrial, Manufacturing, and service industry brand names to sell themselves as being "environmentally conscious" GE comes to mind as does, BP ... they're spending huge advertising money, trying to present and capitalize for themselves an emerging market... while at exactly the same moment they are pillaging the planet for gargantuan profits. ...and they'll get away with it.
"Green" has already been Sloganized.
It's one of the things that's most insidious about the corporate globalization, it assimilates everything in it's path.
What multinational corporations are greenwashing and creating deforestation other than the IMF or World Bank?Hmmmm, just a guess, but I'd say:
United Fruit
Coca-Cola
Dupont
McDonalds
HK %26amp; R
I'm sure Wal-Mart is in there somewhere....
All with the blessing of the IMF and the World Bank.
