What is the difference between phytoremediation and bioremediation?

i know that bioremediation is using plants to take harmful chemicals from teh environment to turn it into non-harmful chemicals, but phytoremediation was described as treatment of environmental problems throught the use of plants

I dont know which term to use for my project--what is the difference? What is the difference between phytoremediation and bioremediation?Bioremediation can be defined as any process that uses microorganisms, fungi, green plants or their enzymes to return the environment altered by contaminants to its original condition.

All the best! What is the difference between phytoremediation and bioremediation?Bioremediation is a broader term. It involves the use of living organisms to treat an environmental issue (it could be plants, or bacteria, for example)... phyto is more specific. Only regarding plants.
