Is there any waste product produced from the processing of tea?

Does the processing of tea (doesnt matter which type) cause environmental problems or any harmful waste products? Is there any waste product produced from the processing of tea? It's an agricultural product. There's waste, but no harmful waste. The waste from processed tea would be things like extraneous dirt, unsuitable leaves, stems, etc.

Basically, little is wasted. Stems, for example, are chopped up and re-used to be made into pillows.

If your're concerned about environmental problems, then mainly you should be worried about the harm pesticides sprayed on tea do to the environment. Although, not all tea gardens use harmful pesticides.
